Optimized Functions for Form Processing - cont.

Image Imprinting
The generated claim number and any text may be imprinted at any location on each form. This provides a permanent marker making visual identification and tracking of each form through the imaging system seamless and operator friendly.

Automatic Claim Number Generation
Claim numbers may be assigned to each image using any combination of fixed text and scanner data. The time, day, month, year, batch name and scan sequence may be concatenated in various formats to form unique identifiers for each image. These identifiers along with any recognized data on the form may be used as indexes for the imaging system.

Table Processing
HCFA 1500 field 24 contains a variable number of lines of data. The table processing feature allows this group of objects to be rapidly defined and easily manipulated. Benefits include validation constraints for invalid entries as well as automatic format identification; eliminating stamps and arbitrary text from the validation operators view and the output stream.

Extensive Validation Constraints
A wide range of constraints may be activated for each field of the HCFA form. Valid date, diagnosis codes, min/max range checking, check box combinations, column totals and more insure that the highest accuracy data be extracted from each form.

Mainframe Formatting
Fixed width fields, left and right justification, numeric and alphanumeric padding as well as punctuation stripping options provide a wide diversity of preformatted output. The configurable data formatting makes integration with existing mainframe applications fast and easy.
